Released near the end of Summer 1989 as the first single off the Violator album (which was the one that propelled them into international stardom when unleashed unto the world roughly 6 months later!), this got to #13 in the UK and #28 in the US, as well as #3 in Italy and #5 in Germany, Spain, Poland and Switzerland :) Incidentally it wasnt the first time DM used a guitar sound, but it was certainly the first time the instrument was used as the main ingredient on any of their songs! :) Along with Behind The Wheel and I Feel You, this remains one of my most fave singles by Dave Gahan and Co! :D
