Relief Crisis Counsellor. YWCA Harbour House Women’s Emergency Shelter- 2 Positions Available Position Description Summary: The Relief Crisis Counsellor will provide women and their children in need of safety with accommodation, counselling, guidance and support. The Crisis Counsellor will work as a member of a professional team contributing to the empowerment of women seeking our services. The Relief Crisis Counsellor will maintain building security, provide supportive services for the 24 hour Crisis Line and assist with the daily responsibilities for the shelter. Relief staff is required to work a minimum of four shifts per month, including nights, days, evenings and weekend shifts; and includes Statutory Holidays. Qualifications: Knowledge: Knowledge of family violence and related issues Knowledge of Child Welfare and Justice system Knowledge of community resources.
