Religion : The biggest brain wash in the history. (Read only if you are open minded and of course intelligent) Dont you think it is stupid for humans this intelligent to still believe in things that are way too unrealistic to happen? My opinion is that the society those days was not well educated. Maybe a very few men were wise enough to understand that a certain law should be implemented in order to keep peace and the human race away from facing extinction. Those men created religion. A set of good lies, logical enough to fool the uneducated man to fear evil so that no man would harm another in any way possible. These religions then evolved. Passed from mouth to ear, adding flavour to make it more interesting, the basic rules were covered with a bunch of fairytales everytime it passed from one generation to another. Many leaders of religions then might have added rules to make them more powerful, for their advantage. Then these religions were penned. And religions were official. Yay! The question is, do we need religions now? Well, yes and no. 90% of a religion is a fairytale. Some interesting story we are forced to believe in the name of faith. We do not need that part. In fact, we really do not need the history of a religion. What we need is to find the basics, wash away the artificial colourings and flavours, and try to understand simple things that are realistic and seems practical. Do not kill, do not lie, love everyone, these are the basics. The artificial flavors and colourings of a religion is what has made humans sick over the years. It has crippled and paralyzed humans in doing new things and going outside the frame. Only those who dared to wash away these flavors did many a good to the mankind. Some were even killed. Faith is a very addictive ingredient in the flavoring department of a religion. It keeps you wanting more. But there is an alternative to faith which is not harmful. That is Hope. Anyways, let me keep this concise, the final conclusion to my writing is that there is a part of religion which is good and a bigger part of unrealistic harmful junk. We as a well educated society, an intelligent species, should be able to drop the bad and carry on the good for the betterment of mankind. Think about it. Would you rather pray to God to cure your illness or go to the doctor? And once you are cured, would you thank the person who invented the medicine to change the Gods will or rather say thank you God for (giving me cancer &) curing it (again).
