Religion and politics 1. I am a very worried person. Worried for the nation where we have politicians who do not know how to control themselves in giving public views. They are seeking personal glory and popularity from one ethnic group and hurt the other ethnic group. Its not about politics. The issue is religion. 2. I am glad that Minister Junaidi has come out with a clear and conscious statement that the usage of Allah is ONLY ban in the Herald and not in the bible or in prayers. The Herald is a news bulletin meant for members much like Harakah. Unfortunately we can see that Harakah is widely available even to non members and similarly it can happen with the Herald 3. Do I agree with the court decision in not allowing Herald to use the word Allah in their publication? That is a private matter which I shall kept inside my own heart. However, I have no issue with the usage of Allah in their prayers and holy book. The way I see it that there is only one Allah and the Sikh, Christians, Jews and Islam acknowledge it and their followers are praying to the ONE albeit in their own ways. 4. For the best interest of the country, it is best that the government prosecute the loud mouth politician with his own agenda.
