Religion has convinced the majority of the body of Christ that God isnt really someone we can relate to, but some foreign entity that we can never reach, no matter how good we try to be. It is quite subtle but it becomes really evident in the way that we approach Him and how we talk about Him. Religion separates instead of unites us; its agenda is to separate us from each other by black church, white church, denominations, them and us. Is that the work of God, or of man? Who is the one influencing man in making these decisions? Ultimately, the religious spirit intends to separate us from our Father who loves us with all of Who He is. Religion rejects the very Holy Spirit that has come to Teach us and point us to our true destiny. Agape Love is the complete opposite. Love UNIFIES; religion DIVIDES. We speak to God. He listens. God speaks to us. We listen and obey. THAT is the essence of prayer. It is FELLOWSHIP. When will we all wake up to this reality? Sinner saved by Grace? Give me a break.
