Religion has no purpose what you need is knowledge of the Kingdom of God and how it works. Jesus is real and alive and you can have a relationship with him. You just need to ask him to show you how real he is. Many around the world have had actual experiences with Jesus. It is good to not judge. It is wise to learn what is the truth and then discern who is walking in it and who is deceiving. It is important to learn what sin is and how it distance you from God and learn how holiness(not perfection) brings you closer to God. Our sins destroy us kill are spirit. If the spirit is not born again during are lifetime the soul goes to a real place which is hell but if we are born again the soul will have eternal life
