Relocation Project Update: In the negotiation stages of purchasing raw land. What is needed now is a temporary home for the shepherds (likely 6 months) until land is purchased and 40x80 Pole Barn is built and fencing installed. If anyone knows of a temporary proper facility with fencing that would be well-suited for this situation please send a private message to the rescue through FB or via email: GermanShepherdRescueIndy@gmail *An investment management company has donated $10,000 for the relocation effort! Yep, thats correct...$10,000!! Once I have verified its ok to reveal the name of the trust, I will gladly do so. :-) I almost went into shock when I opened the letter. Also, the rescue is the recipient of the Peanut and Sandy, Paws and Claws, Trust which will be received at the beginning of 2015. I cannot wait to meet the trust administrator. Thanks also to Carmel Road Racing Group for their donatoin of $500! Todd Oliver, the President of CRRG, has been an amazing supporter since day number one. I am still opening letters and cards. I am writing notes to all those who donated through mail. Its the very least I can do. Please know that not many people can donate large amounts of money. The smaller donations count too. Its taken many smaller donations to get to where the rescue is now. The rescue appreciates all donations, no matter the amount. It will take many angels to make The Shepherd Haus a reality. Those still on the fence about donating? Time is running out to make your 2014 tax deductible donation. Why not help a rescue continue it work of saving dogs and bringing unconditional love to a family? Currently, the amount donated toward a new home for the rescued shepherds is approximately $58,000 which is held in the rescues business saving account with Chase Bank. I told you I wouldnt give up and I am NOT! I wont turn my back on this amazing breed. To all the wonderful dogs Ive lost this year, I make it my solemn vow to build a rescue that will honor your name and that of Fallen Officer Rod Bradway. In the works: Rods Run which will be the largest dog run of all the runs and will include a memorial bench. Thanks to everyone who has followed this rescue and for your incredible support and belief that rescuing German Shepherds is something that, not only can be done, but should be done. The rescue exists because companies, families, individuals, care that shepherds walk out the back door of kill shelters; not make the unknowingly final walk to be killed. God Bless our German Shepherds! https://fundrazr/campaigns/8sWl1/ab/34AIhd
