Remain In Active Service For The Lord. As people get older in life, the natural course of event for them is to slow down and begin to look forward to a time of retirement. Some people resign themselves to a time of inactivity as they get older. Moses grew to a hundred and twenty years old, yet he remained in active service and wasn’t ready to die. It makes no difference where you are in your life or how old you are, don’t retire in the spirit. Don’t allow your zeal and passion for the things of God diminish; don’t let your passion for the Lord wane. The Bible says, “Don’t burn out, keep yourself fueled and aflame. "Be alert servants for the Master” (Romans 12:11-13 MSG). The question is: are you still alert for the Master? Have you reached the level where soul winning and development is delegated to your cell leaders because you are now a Pastor, and thus have retired from active service in soul winning? Are you someone who the one on one soul winning you used to have a passion for is no more ‘your thing’; you have outgrown it?As a cell leader have you come to that position where cell activities are of little importance to you; you arrive at cell meetings in grand style, when everything is set and ready, just to share the Word with the brethren. You have suddenly become too big to accustom yourself to daily activities with your members. Let me tell you something, you are letting your fire burn out and you are retiring gradually in the spirit. Don’t be that way!Think about this: Caleb, at the age of eighty-five said to Joshua … “as I was in the day that Moses sent me (forty-five years ago): as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out and to come in” (Joshua 14:11). This man was eighty-five years old and still on fire for the Lord!Keep the passion and zeal you had when you got born again. Re-ignite the fire that made you a cell leader. Never retire, until you have de-populated the kingdom of hell. Praise God!
