Remarkable Red Groupers, Our first meet of the season was an incredible success. Most of you achieved all best times. Many of you have already achieved some great prizes which you will soon see on our GSI Aims High Motivation Boards. The following is just a hint of the incredible talent of the athletes based on the National Age Group Standards achieved by those remarkable red groupers. 1. 6 -- B Times 2. 6 -- BB Times 3. 2 -- A Times 4. 6 -- Divisional Times Congratulations to Eve Miller, Nick Zehr, Evan Sailor, Sam Hunter whom accomplished a Divisional Time Standard or maintained the Divisional Time Standard the first meet of the Winter Season. We also had some very close finishers who barely missed theirs by 2/100 of a second. I believe in you! Go out and get it next meet. A special congratulations goes out to Simon Hertzler who was awarded the Rubber Ducky this past week! Keep working hard and perfecting those strokes. This week we will continue to work on aerobic base, stroke technique, effective kicking and continue to work on the mental aspect of swimming competitively. Looking forward to a great week of swimming. Dont forget to bring your Red Binders tomorrow. They are due and we have additional information to add to them. Those who do not bring them will have an extra timed set at the end of practice so plan on staying a little late if you forget yours. I am so proud of all who attended the meet. You all started the Winter Season in such a positive manner. I cant wait to see you all swim at the next meet. Lets continue to work hard at practice in order to prepare for the PAC Sharkfest Meet coming up on November 15-16. If you havent signed up for the PAC Sharkfest Meet yet please log in and do so soon. The deadline will be fast approaching. I am always available if anyone would like to speak with me by e-mail, phone, or on deck. Sincerely Donna Wilham Head Age Group Developmental Coach You have to apply yourself each day to becoming a little better.
