Remember Greg Holmes?—or as we in the office call him Arthur, (or ‘arfa) due to the fact that he has the luckiest streak of shifts- working the refurb circuit EVER! Frequently being allowed home early as contractors finish the work assigned super fast—meaning he only ever works “ ‘ arfa Shift” before being sent home early! Well, our ’arfa is now an accomplished television star. Despite the mug shot included, it is not Crimewatch (ha!) Greg was recently posted at the pictured store in Rochdale. A “wage day advance type” loan shop– however, this shop wasnt all it seemed to be. In fact it was all part of the BBC’s documentary show meant to highlight the dangers and pitfalls in the many scam operations out there, operating as loan companies. The programme that is set to air in November on BBC 3 features Greg all the way through as he goes about his shifts, looking, I suspect, rather shifty! Somebody call security! Greg reported back saying “it was a really good assignment, the BBC looked after me really well. I got a free lunch and everyone was very friendly” In light of his new TV success, Greg is currently working on his own show, entitled “Working for Sandwiches” - but has so far only finished half of it! True to form! (Joke)
