Remember Heidi Schabacker Manning? While she has left the group, Heidi is still out there sweeping up our sidewalks and gutters and making life more pleasant for all of us in West Hills. She sent me the following message, which she gave permission to share: On Tuesday night (10/21),I noticed many, filled, black, trash bags along Ingomar, between Hillary and Platt. All the grass that had been growing in the bike lane has been removed. I remember you had posted about that. The same problem of excess water and grass growing in the gutter, exists further down, on Saticoy, between Keswick and Ingomar. I have been pruning trees and sweeping up excess leaves in that area and have pulled out some of the grass. I will try scraping the remaining grass with a shovel and see if that works. If not, heavy machinery will have to be called in! Was a plan of action ever determined for decreasing the amount of water that flows down Ingomar/Saticoy, towards Chaminade?
