Remember Mister Bleu? The senior Catahoula who sat and sat at the shelter waiting and waiting for someone to save him for MONTHS. This poor older gent was overlooked by everyone because of his age. He was passed up for the younger and smaller dogs. Until, a wonderful angel saw him. All the way from Alaska! She just knew that he belonged in her life, so the shelter and many other people came together to get this boy a rescue and get him out of the shelter to start his new adventure. Dog Days Rescue pulled this old boy from the shelter and has him in a foster home. Hes been vetted and had boodwork done to check all of his levels because hes such an older guy. Everything came back clear and hes now ready to move on to his new home in Alaska with his angel and savior, Judy Wihlfehrt. This is the hard part, getting a 100 pound senior dog from Atlanta to Alaska has proved to be a bit more difficult (and costly) than we initially expected. What we are asking now is, if there is anyone who has contacts with Delta Airlines, whose hub is in Atlanta, do you think there is anyway that they would donate a flight for this boy to get to his forever home? If not, does anyone happen to have a trip to Alaska planned that this boy could tag along on? Lastly, would anyone be willing to help with the cost of the flight if the first 2 options dont happen?
