Remember Remember, the 11th of September. First of all, prayers go out to all those affected by the terrible tragedy that unfolded over a decade ago, respect to them and their families. Remember the sorrow that fell upon our nation, in a time of deep despair. People going to work like it was a normal day. Businessmen, street vendors, police/firemen all woke up to provide for their families. Sitting in school I remember hearing a loud commotion, then I heard the news that would forever change the world. A plane had hit one of the twin towers, and then another, then panic ensued. A building that was built to be virtually indestructible when it came to airliner terrorist attacks. A building that was built with the preventive measures to be hit by multiple airliners and not be severely damaged >>(“Towers were built to withstand a Boeing jet(s). “I designed it for a 707 to hit it”, Leslie Robertson, WTC structural engineer. “Could probably sustain multiple impacts of jetliners”. “As far as a plane knocking a building over, that would not happen.” Charlie Thornton, Structural Engineer.)
