Remember, Remember the 5 of November… Friends. Joe Public was satisfied with sitting in quiet contemplation this day, (of all days), and ponder the world in general. I was satisfied to sit in my home this day, and ponder how far, we as a nation have come in the past 12 years since the modern day that will live in infamy. Lets see, lets look at some of the amazing strides we have made in the world, since that terrible day. 1. Preacher professing love, attempts to burn 2,998 Quran’s. 2. Reverend stands at famous shrine on the universe of Martin Luther King’s famous speech and accuses “The White man” of perpetuating hatred of the black. 3. Military Soldier gives THOUSANDS of classified documents to WEB Site, who instantly releases them under the guise of freedom of the press. Hundreds killed across the globe because their names are in the documents. 4. Man obtains job in Intelligence gathering community, solely with the intent of STEALING as much information as he could grab. Immediately FLEES his country and starts divulging the information. 5. Traitor given asylum in foreign country on the condition that he no longer releases state secrets. Traitor agrees, and immediately proceeds to release more information. 6. Government assistance requested, based on credible threat information against a US consulate. Request ignored, citizens murdered in cold blood. 7. Muslims attempt “Million man march” on Washington DC, to bring to light the Innocent Muslims being persecuted because of 9/11 hate crimes. 12 people show up for march. Not all are Muslim. 8. Nations leader, (supposedly) releases SARIN gas on his citizens to teach them a lesson. 9. 8 year old girl bleeds to death … On her wedding night,,, after intercourse… with her 40 year old husband. Joe Public could go on and on. I could site more examples of being pushed to the brink of war because of EGO, and narrowly avoiding that same war, because of bigger egos. People beating others because of their skin color, people killing babies, people hurting, cursing, and generally destroying each other. If I didn’t know better, I would say that the Mayans were spot on, and the world actually did end, and we are now in purgatory, pending the outcome of a cosmic practical joke. But that would be too easy. Along with all that evil, I see glimpses of our goodness. I see people stopping to help one another. I see a motorcyclist stopping and helping to free a wheel chair that was stuck. I see good kind people, going out of their way, to try to make the world a better place. The press goes out of their way, to front page and sensationalize bad news, and bury feel good “FLUFF” pieces, if they print them at all. Joe Public has an Idea. Just for 1 day, press and news agencies report GOOD news and Feel good pieces BEFORE they report the stuff that “YOU NEED TO KNOW!” Imagine how great your day would be, if you turned to a news channel, or grabbed your paper off the porch and read on the Front pages something uplifting, instead of doom and gloom. Imagine starting your day with a smile, and a picture of a cute kitten. Imagine. I am the voice of all people who would love to live in THAT land. I am Joe Public
