Remember folks: merely voting is not fulfilling your responsibility. Fulfilling your responsibility is being informed should you choose to vote. Ive been cringing all day long listening to people extoll the virtue of voting for the sake of participating in the process. Voting is a very serious responsibility not to be taken lightly or done at a moments notice. An informed voter is not to be motivated by popular sentiment, peer pressure or coolness factor. And most of all, voting is not to be an act of selfishness that asks, Whats in it for me? Mature voters ask, What is in the best interest of my country and my fellow man? So I encourage those who dont understand the consequences of your vote to please stay home.
