Remember how you looked forward to summer camp as a kid? Now imagine that being the only week of the year you felt you could be yourself. I know some of you arent feeling Spring just yet, but Summer is right around the corner and we need your help! As a lot of you know, Ive been a volunteer member of the Board of Directors for One Heartland for 6 years now. We provide summer camping and services for kids living with HIV/AIDS, for LGBTQ youth and for other children who are disenfranchised, bullied or otherwise suffering in silence. To them, a week at summer camp is sometimes the one thing that brings them hope to fuel the rest of their year. Many of these children live in poverty, so this camp comes at zero cost to them --But we rely only on the goodness of others to keep it going! So, if youre looking for a tax deductible donation (use some of your tax return money) and want to help send a child to camp for a week this summer, please kick in whatever you can and help me and fellow board member John Adams raise enough to keep our programs going! oneheartland.org And please spread the word!
