Remember....if you have an EA (Enrolled Agent) preparing your taxes, you are dealing with a tax professional who is already regulated. Enrolled Agents VOLUNTARILY stepped up to prove competency, VOLUNTARILY took the required exams, VOLUNTARILY applied for licensure, and VOLUNTARILY take the required (and often much more) annual continuing education. If you are dealing with someone who the IRS demanded get a certification, you are dealing with someone who has demonstrated MINIMUM competency. So - you make the choice. When you buy a tire, do you buy the Chinese tire that will give you a year of bad handling, noisy ride, poor traction and a propensity to pull to one side? Or, will you buy a Michelin? (correct answer: Buy the Michelin....they stand behind their product.) Hire an EA. Smooth ride, great traction, and you can depend on us if the road gets rough.
