Remember that your actions, even words, have consequences. Your cruelty, however flippant you think it is, can be the straw that breaks the camels back in someone and makes them give up their faith, their peace or even their lives. Your kindness, however small an act or showing of it you think it is, can be the thing that lifts someone up, restores their faith in people or themselves, brings them peace in times of turbulence or even saves their lives. In an ideal world, no one would care what others think, but we all do until we dont. When you dont its a repetition of disappointment that makes you no longer give a shit, and sometimes those of us that choose that route of apathy forget others cant or dont and to them (even to us in our worst moments) a little kindness or a little cruelty can be as important as life or death.
