Remember the $20 I lost last week? Courtney and I were checking out at a self checkout line at Publix last night and paid with cash, which we never do. I looked down to where the change gets dispensed and noticed money sitting there already which obviously wasnt ours. It was $22. I didnt think I just grabbed it and told her Id be right back. I chased down the lady who was in front of us in line in the parking lot and she said she had gotten cash back but forgot about it-in the amount of $20. That left $2. I passed my wife in the parking lot and told her Id meet her at the car. I gave the $2 to the cashier and told her it must have been from someone in line before us. Im not trying to toot my own horn for doing a good deed. Im just trying to spread the word about doing the right thing. I dont know if this was the devil trying to tempt me or God testing me. But I do know, sadly, there was a time in my life when I would have taken the money and ran. But it wasnt mine, and again, someone probably needed it more than I. Just try to always do the right thing. I am blessed beyond measure. And God is so good.
