Amanda Langs boyfriend was on the board of RBC, and she was dating him around the time that story was broken by her colleague Kathy Tomlinson at CBC. Amanda Lang has spoken at RBC-sponsored events at least twice, has been at events with RBC execs at least 3 times. 3. Amanda Lang argued to play the RBC story down. 4. She wrote a Globe & Mail column defending RBCs actions and dismissing the issue as a sideshow. 5.
