Remember the emaciated mama Vida and puppy Petunia? look at baby Petunia now!! can you say KAAAUTIE? Petunia - Yellow Female X, 16 Weeks; about 10 Pounds Hi, my name is Petunia and I am a very lucky girl. I came into rescue via a Good Samaritan that saw me dodging traffic near a vineyard. She took the time to follow me into the vineyard and found me and my Mom, both starving and infested with itchy critters. She took us home and fed and bathed us, and got rid of all those pesky critters. That was the best day ever! It took me a little while to trust humans but now I love them, both big and small. Given my humble beginnings, I feel very lucky to have such wonderful people who stepped up to make sure I would have a good life. My foster Mom says I am delightful. I am being crate trained and although I do put up a bit of a fuss, I settle down and except that it is for my own good. You see my biggest problem with the crate is that it means I don’t get to cuddle next to my person. I really love to be near my person and especially love to be held. I am learning house manners and am pretty good about going outside to do my business. I don’t always let my foster Mom know when I have to go but she has a good sense of when I need to go out so there are no accidents in the house. I love car rides and don’t get sick at all. My foster Mom is trying to teach me that in her lap is not the best place to be when she is driving. Petunia is a petite and darling little pup. She has adjusted to having a safe home where she is loved and cared for and seems to have no memory of her harsh life before rescue. She loves people of all sizes, especially the little ones. Petunia would be happy in a home with people that have the time and patience to train and nurture this precious little pup into the loyal and loving dog she was born to be. Petunia is now accepting applications and will be ready for adoption in about 2 weeks (today is 8-13-14).
