Remember the time I got all worked up because St. Pauls Episcopal - TopicsExpress

Remember the time I got all worked up because St. Pauls Episcopal Church paid one of their parishoners, a lawyer, to represent another of their parishoners in a divorce? It was annoying because (a) the client/church member was employed, lived in a free house she inherited, etc., so she wasnt qualified for a free lawyer IMO; (b) the client/church member wasnt being abused in anyway, her husband (my client) was a perfectly decent guy, she just didnt like him any more; (c) churches ought not be paying for peoples divorces, IMO, especially without any of their other parishoners knowledge or consent as to how their donations are being spent. WELL. My experience having to work with the lawyer/parishoner was AWFUL. She was just a horrible, mean spirited, hateful person to have to work with. And now for the rest of the story: That lawyer/parishoner has been sanctioned by the Ethics Board for failure to do her job, was ordered to pay a fine and restitution to her client she ripped off, and now has her license suspended because she neglected to pay her annual dues. So now the church cant overpay her to divorce their parishoners any more!
