Remember the two brothers in Germany who had built an impressive model railway? This is an update of what has become their German Wonderland. A few clips about this place have circulated for the past few years; it is still not finished but is growing so fast the creators may soon run out of space. This German Wonderland was started as a way for the brothers to show off their hobby, but it has become much more than that because they have been joined by other Model Railroad Clubs and other craftsmen. Among the contributors were miniature craftsmen, electricians, model makers and carpenters, as well as computer programmers to name a few. Wives would stop by to see what the men were doing and usually brought lunch. One thing led to another. Three ladies who had worked at a bakery asked why there was no bakery; several visitors suggested a snack bar would be nice. An Idea was planted; carpenters came and built a nice restaurant area for the bakery and a kitchen, too. If the fresh coffee smell didnt impress you then the bakery would. That was about five years ago. One of the breweries came and furnished all of the tables and chairs, serving counter etc. The most recent finished area is the airport.
