Remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples, but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’ - Nehemiah 1:8-9 ESV This word still is true for us who have been bought with the blood of Christ. God will never forsake us but Christ exalted in heaven has declared , Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent (Rev 3:19) So dont think your not obeying God in this life dear Believer, that things will go well with you in this life. If you abuse your heritage in Christ you will find yourself resiting God and his discipline will fall. This too is the blessing and grace of God. The most miserable people of all on earth are those who have tasted and seen the goodness of Christ and yet do not walk with him in obedience holding onto things in this life as though they are the most important things, and refuse to seek Gods will, sacrifice their idols and repent. Listen to what scripture declares... Colossians 2:6-10 ESV Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. Do you hear God? He is saying dont let your tradition hold you back! Break the chains that bind you and stand for Jesus in whatever radical baby steps of faith he is calling you to take. Be brave for Jesus Christ! You dont have to sell it all and move to India preaching on the streets like my faithful brother Daniel Stephen Courney! He calls some bold soldiers for that work, but for you, stop fearing what others many think and allow your heart to break for what breaks Gods heart. Live! LIVE! LIVE FOR JESUS! Start today and you will begin to see restoration and miracles in your life. Want to be blessed. Its as simple as this. Really follow Jesus...with no excuses. Jesus said.
