Remember those pesky rebels who placed white flags on the towers of the Brooklyn Bridge earlier this week? Despite ruling out terrorism or political motivations, police are going so far as to try and scrape together DNA evidence, scouring social media, searching through phone logs, and running everyones license plates to try and catch the culprits. Theyve also added additional security to the bridge, as well as potential terrorist targets around the city. Investigators from counterterrorism, homicide, intel, and transit departments have all been pulled into the case to hunt down the infiltrators in the name of increasing safety. Because thats not going overboard. At all.
