Remember when Jesus said to Peter, You are Rock and on this rock I will build my church. Then Peter says something stupid and Jesus replies, Get behind me Satan! Another time Jesus is talking to his disciples and he castigates them by saying, Why do you not believe? Whenever the disciples did not understand what He said, he immediately castigated them for not understanding. Then as the drama unfolds, we have Jesus say to his disciples, Unless you eat my Body and drink my Blood, you will not have life in you. So what did the disciples do? They said, This is too much to bear, they turned and walked away from him, never to return. So what did Jesus do? Did he call after them saying, Wait, guys, it just a euphamism! of Hold on! Hold on! I was merely speaking in the Abstract. You know, the symbolism and all that. NO! He let them walk away! Why is that? Because he meant it! And he meant it in SPADES! Unless you eat His Body and drink His Blood, you will not have eternal life. period! End of story!
