Remember when art was art? Your biggest worry was your friend or sibling sneezing on your freshly colored page, or breaking your favorite crayon? When art was about making something that made you feel a certain way, and you didnt have to describe what you were trying to portray? Does anyone else remember the feeling or smell of that brand new box of crayons or markers? How you felt the first time you got a set of paints? When a canvas was the nearest sidewalk, and all you needed was chalk? Or a piece of paper, and the relief you would get when finding a pencil after searching for hours for one that is sharpened so you didnt have to grab a knife, because your sharpener was broken? Does anyone else remember the feeling you would get when creating something new from scratch, and your friends praised your attempts or applauded the hard work you had put into it? I remember these moments like they were yesterday. Life was simple, art was even more so... I miss those days. I miss art
