Remember when times were simpler and joy could be found in something as ordinary as sleeping in a canvas tent, 17 miles up a road that gradually turns to red rock. The inconveniences of vault toilets and water from a stream were not things that would stop people from gathering and enjoying time together....because it was time spent with family. I would like to experience those times again. I want to sit around a campfire, watch kids catch polliwogs and ride the Tree Horses. Dont worry, if you dont know what a Tree Horse is, its not too late to find out! I want to walk down the road to the little store and glide across the lake in a boat with a fishing pole in my hands. I want to sit in my chair, close my eyes and listen to the wind blowing through the trees. I want to look out and enjoy the beauty of Three Creeks Lake. While the cold, hard ground isnt necessarily calling my name, the campground, lake and memories certainly are. The hands of time move steadily forward and while my nostalgia may stem in part from the fact that my only child is a senior this year, its also about wanting one more trip. A trip with family to a place full of wonderful memories. If you would like to take a walk down memory lane and/or make some new ones, then please join us. Were looking at next August, probably within the first two weeks. Bring your spouses, kids, grandkids, trailer, air bed, etc... Stay for a few nights, a single night or even just a day. Whatever works for you, we just hope well see you there. Happy camping!
