Remembering 9/11. Where were you exactly 13 years ago? I can - TopicsExpress

Remembering 9/11. Where were you exactly 13 years ago? I can still remember those moments when I used to play Wrestling with my cousins, Daniel and Kuya DJ back when we were still in SF. As a kid, I never cared about whatever comes around as long as it does not involve me. Until one sunny morning, a remarkable event in the entire history of the world happened. I woke up seeing my family hooked up on the TV. The scene was outraging that it seemed like a billion-dollar movie produced by Universal Studios. It was really amazing. The live broadcast didnt actually stop me from having goosebumps! Even until now as I watch some of the featured videos on YouTube.. People were all gray covered in ash and all looked like walking zombies asking for help. That whole morning, sirens, breaking news and screams for help overflowed the whole media. It didnt take long when the next day American flags were raised and signs piled up the yards of many neighborhoods, even on cars though, stating; God bless America, United we stand, and Proud to be an American as they showed the world, “Here we are, ready to fight.” We, people from the Bay Area, were definitely affected by the crisis. Pinoys had to be one of them, did give a helping hand to start the long process of moving on. Filipinos are strong and yes, could be all knowing, but yet something like this could happen. To see people falling and jumping off the windows was really unbelievable. How could we not be more protective of our nation and be able to anticipate such an event? Hmm.. The US nation did come together to the best they could. Ways were put in place to not let this happen again. High levels of security were implemented. It made them stronger, angrier and more determined to protect themselves in the future. They are still with faith on that path.. God bless, America. One thing I learned? Hug your parents, children or anyone in your family close, and give them hugs like it was the first time you saw them. For you do not know when you send them off to the office, school, or simply out if you will ever see them again. Don’t take Love for granted, for your whole life can change in a gash second, like the lives of so many on that fateful day of 9/11 did. If you must say something to someone you really care, say it. Do everything that satisfies yourself especially if it will include all members of the ones you love. For this moment, this moment that I am writing, will never come gain, but will be lost in time forever.. Heres a current photo of the downtown NY with the tallest building in the Western hemisphere, the new World Trade Center (Freedom Tower).
