Remembering Don Boatwright today. He was Chief of the pineville fire dept for years. Whenever the alarm went off, he was the first one there. He was very influential in what the fire dept has become today. Whenever someone was in need, he was always there to offer help. He helped the seniors around town, taking them places they needed to go or taking them things they needed. He worked for the town for years. Even after retirement, he still did things for the town to help improve it and was always there when called upon. After the Pool Room closed, Don made one last attempt to take it over and open it back up because he knew what it meant to some folks around town. Don will be missed. Pineville lost a true original yesterday...
