Remembering back 36 years ago on Thanksgiving Day , our son who was 7 then, became very ill. He suffered all day with a high fever and pain in his head and neck. We stayed on the phone off and on all day...being told to give him Tylenol and bath him in cool water to get the fever down. After none of that worked, we grabbed him up and took him to the ER . They took one look at him and called in a pediatrician. We were first told that he might have encephalitis , but after a spinal tap they determined he had viral meningitis. That was not the best news, but better than encephylitis. He was admitted to the hospital , and later that night his fever reached 105. At that point they packed him in ice. I so terrified. I just went to the hospital window, looked up at the sky and prayed with all my heart for God to make my son better....and he did. The fever dropped and he was on his way to recovery. Just had to share this because I believe God does answer our prayers.
