Remembering this Veterans Day my grandfathers, Clark Narin, a member of the Black Watch, Royal Highlanders Regiment of Scotland, WW I veteran, wounded at the battle of the Somme, ended his military career and almost his life, later became a U.S. citizen. Albert Deykes, a U.S. Army veteran of WW I, who also fought in France. Both of my parents, U.S. Army veterans, my father fought in Korea, two older brothers, U.S. Army veterans who served in Germany, my oldest brother a West Point Graduate now a retired Officer. My son is a U.S. Marine vet, my father-in-law was a WW II Navy vet who sailed with Halseys Task Force, my brother-in-law a retired Navy veteran, two of his children, one an active duty Marine and the other active duty Army. There are so many other uncles and cousins who served this could be several pages long. We owe them all so much…
