Remembrance Day marks the anniversary of the end of the First World War (1914–18). Each year Australians observe one minute silence at 11.00 am on 11 November, in memory of those who died or suffered in wars and armed conflicts. The annual Remembrance Day Service will be conducted in the State War Memorial precinct in Kings Park and Botanic Garden. This event commemorates the end of the first modern world conflict that occurred on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918. Road closures routinely occur in Kings Park during this event that may affect your access.
