Remembrance of Adam Cheli We always look upon each and everyday as it is with never thinking this could be the last .The lessons we learn on our journey are not always from the living but just as much from the passing..Essentially, when laying a loved one to rest the most important thing .Respect for the way they lived their lives. Respect for their memory. It is always difficult to be practical at such a sensitive and sad time in anyones life. Youve all experienced grief. Youve all felt those intense rolling waves of emotion. But, I believe just as strongly, that there is no script for grief; that we cannot expect to feel any of our emotions in a particular set pattern. In both sudden death and anticipated, there is pain. When one who we love passes away we see it as a sudden destruction of our world .The person whom we loved, and who provided us with love laughter and joy, is taken away without any warning.We feel this is a major violation of our expectations. There are no gradual transitions, nor time to make changes in ourself,or our expectations about our life, and our world. The sudden shock of losing our loved ones without warning stuns us that we cannot comprehend what has transpired. The confusion of their passing,which makes it hard to grasp the situation and find it difficult to understand the implications of the loss. Accepting that their gone is difficult, even if you intellectually recognize that it happened. The death may continue to seem inexplicable for awhile. And as humans repeatedly do,we will have to go over and over telling ourself that they are no longer here and we try to make sense of the loss after the fact. .Its hard to lay it to rest and look forward in our life but take time to heal..MOURNE...Mourning is a way of saying goodbye. You need that time for yourself!!! So I want to end this note with an offering of prayers to spread to the friends and family for healing.. . Great Spirit, whose voice We hear in the wind, whose breath gives life to all the world. Hear us as We need your strength and wisdom. Let us walk in beauty, and make our eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make our hands respect the things you have made and our ears sharp to hear your voice ,make us wise so that We may understand the things you have taught us. Help us remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes towards us. Let us learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. Help us seek pure thoughts and act with the intention of helping others. Help us find compassion without empathy overwhelming us. We seek strength, not to be greater than others, but to fight my greatest enemy - Myself. Make us always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes.
