Reminder for a Muslim.. Subhan’Allah. When you learn about Islam, you enter into its peaceful lifestyle. You penetrate into a tranquil and fresh standard of living.. Your character becomes refined. Your heart feels strong and healthy. Your soul feels purified. Sins which were normal to you before, begin to disturb and irritate your heart. Being around, or listening to things which are haram begin to agitate you. And it feels great. You feel so content, you feel strong and supported at where you are - because you have Allah. You have His Messenger (saw). You know you are a soul protected, guided and you are happy! So then, when you step out of the circle of your Imaan, you go out into the real word - into the workforce, into the student environment, into the streets.. and people look at YOU like you’re the weird one for being the way you are? There is something wrong with you for holding back from the things you do for the sake of Allah.. I mean,But as soon as you say this is for Allah, people raise an eyebrow. You’re either not religious enough to be going to those “extremes”. You’re either a hypocrite because you still do something else. You’re an alien or a liar, you’re “boring” - subhan’Allah. In times like that, even as a person who’s proud to be a Muslim, who has their heart tied strongly to Islam.. you feel hesitant to be who you are. Why?All you do is refrain from evil, enjoin what is good.. you are sensible. You are well behaved. You are obedient. You are truthful. Isn’t this what Islam is? None of that matters in the end because you have Allah. What is all that temporary laughter, temporary happiness, temporary friendship - it lasts for a few hours, the night ends, the sun rises and the enjoyment - the sinning - comes to an end. But what you have O Muslim, what you have does not end. You have Allah - His protection, His guidance, His mercy. And that lasts all hours of the night, it doesn’t end when the sun rises, it doesn’t end when you close your eyes, it doesn’t last temporarily. As long as you breathe, and even after; Allah never leaves. You are surrounded by Angels and you are applauded. Don’t lose your focus when being surrounded by these ignorant people because they don’t know what you know. If they knew, they would be just like you. There is no better way of life! Alhamdulillah we are Muslim.
