Reminder for all of our friends: With the colder temperatures, electric demand will be high, and TVA implemented seasonal billing in most areas last year, so be sure to check your thermostats to make sure that they are not overworked by setting them too high. It is suggested to crank it back to 68 degrees. One tip - if you have a gas fireplace, it might make sense to warm up your house a little using the gas fireplace in full heat mode with the central heat fan in the on position to circulate the heat throughout your home. Also, if you have ceiling fans that can be reversed, make sure they are turning in a clockwise position (pushing hot air off of the ceiling) and in a low position to circulate heat off of the ceilings as well. These bills are going to be high, so make sure you plan ahead!
