Reminder: the excellent band Scott and Charlenes Wedding from Brisbane, Australia are playing at Barboza this evening. In 2010, the Australian bands UV Race and Total Control had a two-week residency in Seattle, and mastering engineer Mikey Young (who was playing in both bands) burned me a copy of this bands then-brand new debut lp called PARA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, which was a recent mastering job of his, and an album that had greatly impressed him. The LP has been one of my favorites ever since. That SCW has made an effort to play in Seattle tonight is kind of miraculous.
