Reminder to those of us that have been feeding the spillway cats: Please, if you see trash laying around the feeding/shelter station or the spillway area, pick it up and put it in the trash cans. Try not to leave any cat food bags or cans laying around. We dont want to draw negative attention to the cats or the caregivers. It is always a nice gesture to pick up any bottles or containers that others have carelessly left behind. Take caution in picking up old fishing lines and hooks and ALWAYS keep hand sanitizer in your car and use it. A few of the cats are friendly and social but they have not been tested for diseases so you dont want to handle them, but if you do, use caution and wash your hands afterwards. You wouldnt want to carry any diseases home to your own pets. I have yet to see aggression in the cats, but I do respect that they are feral and allow them space. If you happen to be out at the spillway and see any issues that may be of concern let us know. Thanks for your help.
