Reminder: tomorrow through Sunday, our focus is adding in a quart of green juice daily, along with simple, whole food meals. We are taking a break from: sugar, caffeine, animal products, processed food in whatever capacity they currently exist in your life. For a great simple green juice recipe: 3 – 4 celery stalks 2 big fistfuls of greens (I often opt for kale, but you can play with other greens as well) 1 head of romaine 2 cucumbers (if they are organic, you can keep the peel) 1 pear 1 lemon (peeled for most juicers) If you are shopping today, plan for enough veggies to do this three times, as well as adding additional fruits and veg for your main meals. Non-juice meals should be simple, raw or cooked and focusing on plants (with good plant-based fats and whole grains as needed/desired).
