Reminds me of a great Kevin Spacey rant in Hurlyburly with Sean Penn -You get an idea, thats all. You dont understand the scope of it. You lose the scope. Alright, so there you are. Your foots on the gas. Youre flying. Yknow, so far so good. Road, trees, radio. Whats a little flick of the steering wheel? An inchs rotation? What is that? An inch. So you do it. Youve gone beyond what you can come back from. You have handed over control now. Its gravity and this big machine, which is a car, only its not even a car anymore. Its this hunk of metal rearranging itself according to the laws of physics. Force and resistance. Stress and reaction. Heat, friction, collapse. And then youre gone -- who knows where.
