Reminds me of a related issue. When Serafina started at pre-school she kept hearing kids call for Mommy when they got hurt. So she started calling Craig Mommy and he went with it for a bit. I was upset, I told him we have to let everyone know, our kid, other kids, teachers, that Dads can be loving gentle primary caregivers too. We need to help change the culture and expectation that a child needs to call for mommy when they are hurt.
