Reminds me of an article I read recently, where the North Korean govt only allows photos to be taken of photos which show the head-to-toe image of their leaders. Peoples perceptions can be affected by what they think they see. Sounds like our self-described leaders are choosing how we need see them in order that we will follow. cnn/2013/10/21/world/asia/north-korea-forbidden-photos/ (From image number 3 in the slide show: This propaganda monument of Dear Leader Kim Jong-Il by a countryside road, not far from the border to China, was deleted by authorities. North Korea required images of leaders be full body shots.)
