Targ and Puthoff (1974) initiated the stir in the echo-stream of human civilization by switching their occupational emphasis from physics to parapsychology. During the Cold War between Russia and the U.S., both parties invested heavily in the research of RV and other psychic phenomenon. The US and the USSR did not engage in out and out warfare but were constantly involved in a tacit, covert, and/or clandestine level of conflict. There were all manner of exchanges that could be considered martial including but not at all limited to force deployment tact and strategy, satellite-based strategic defense initiatives, proxy and espionage wars, and various races including the space race and the nuclear arms race. But moreover, the Cold War was a war of ideologies. The Russians started the ICBM programs as well as Sputnik, the first earth satellite. The programs that each began and unraveled also were paralleled compositely by the other in recompense, and in search of balance. By way of the mistrust and all of its evidentiary manifestations, both conceived and contrived, all manner of side effect was felt. What came to pass could only be called advanced fomentation of unrest by both parties against one another, allegedly for the purpose of outperforming in the pioneering realms. Since this was occurring, various topics took on the bellicosity of the opposition such as aliens and UFO conspiracy theories, weather and crop circle suspicions, strange biological findings, special healing energies, and implications revolving around the pyramids. There have been and continue to be various programmatic elements of subterfuge that are being played out by both sides such as feigned intellectual stimulations and gatherings intended to foster new research into matters of intelligence and science unrelated to the actual purpose of psychic research being conducted by both entities, the US and the USSR and/or new Soviet blocs. At one point, it appeared as though the USSR was nearly 50 years ahead of the US in psychic research terms. One notable achievement in the U.S. was centered around a retired police commissioner by the name of Price. Price could demonstrate his ability to RV while he was completely locked up within an electro-shielded room and he did most reliably and unmistakably. There were various bastions of positive evidence that somehow have not been promulgated as peer-reviewed scholarly “fact” to this day! But research continued and part of it was relative to the work at The Institute of Noetic Sciences as well as the Army, Navy, and the CIA. At peak, the Stargate Project and other programs such as the RV training academy at Fort Meade, Maryland, were occupying many million dollar budgets. In 1980, a Lt. Colonel from the Army provided a scholarly article for the Military Review publication that claimed an unabashed set of facts relating to the ability to spread disease and even death by way of power of mind and that various lower organisms had been killed using this capacity in controlled scientific environments. But this is where the programmatic efforts have been self-defeating, as the realm of the psychically empowered is one of peace, cooperation, and learning, not at all about warfare. The RV phenomenon is one that dispels myth and that empowers truth about natural abilities. The natural paths that accompany RV are various and include but again, are not necessarily limited to, astral projection (AP) and/or clairvoyance (CV), as well as the use of spirit guides and third eye awakening and awareness, OBE, and more. It is perhaps an underpinning element of the entire premise of RV to realize that regardless of pathway, it appears somewhat plainly that what is being revealed is simply higher mental and/or conscious integral function. The level allows for the added informational access... leading once again to a transparent world of humans where secrets are a thing of the past! There are always multiple explanations of everything, no matter how an observer-researcher might wish to retain categorical and minimizing methodology to suggest fact as otherwise. But when humans truly discover the Star Trek “holodeck” as a means of direct one-to-one scaled research experimentation, will they not also tear down the walls of what is and is not a dream? Various of the methodical tools include gauging mechanism, such as temperature gauging to create a point of scale reference within experiential findings. Additionally, it would be perhaps common to consider the physical senses as just that, physical. But it appears that the physical experiences of smelling, hearing, tasting, and touching are actually etheric experiences that gather information by way of the output of the physical organs. Here again is the obviated conclusion that all experience and sensation is simply an awareness of alternation in vibratory rate of pulsing energy waves. The ability to separate that which is “real” from that which is “unreal” is part of mastering astral and etheric travels (Weschcke & Slate, 2012). The navigation of spatially distant locations is the essence of AP and RV and along with it is the necessity of overcoming distractions, both internal and external. The two can also be merged according to Weschcke & Slate (2012) creating an even more informative capability. As the research continues, “Awe Thor” here and now wishes to acknowledge for “Reador” a certain perhaps innate but oft unspoken aspect of this and perhaps many if not all entire pedagogic and paradigmatic inquiries ... which is that goal preparation is critical.
