Remove the beam from your eye before you can remove the splinter from your brothers. Beam is EGO and Eye is I. (For those who study and apply the Masters outer teachings, will know what the I is) Considering that removing the whole beam (ego) is such a big task yet when you know that even the beam is made up of so many splinters, the task is not so big when taken one splinter at a time. The Christ through Jesus told Peter that he need not be perfect (without Ego) before being sent to help (save) others. Neither are we, as we are constantly learning and teaching simultaneously - at times these may become blurred but its always happening to and from you. Not everyone can recognise the Christ - hence John the Baptist’s role - we to are examples for others to gain a better perspective. Some may even use us as stepping stones and rise higher than us, in which they in turn can become a stepping stone for our further rising.
