Renaissance man noun a present-day man who has acquired profound knowledge or proficiency in more than one field, a man of any period who has a broad range of intellectual interests. That definition above describes my grandfather in every sense of the word. He was the man who first taught me fractions at age 7, taught me nearly everything I know about computers. He even climbed the roof of my house, at age 78, to fix the satellite dish on roof, on top of completely remodeling my sisters room, fixing every possible thing wrong with my house, on top of being my main inspiration for my art and other paintings and being able to have a full conversation with me about my engineering studies As if that wasnt big enough, over 1500 people showed up to his lifetime achievement award ceremony, with nothing but incredible things to say about him. I mean, hes got a trade school named after him in Queens. If thats not impressive, I dont know what is. And from what it looks like, a few thousand may very well be showing up to his wake. Well, this incredible man has made me the young man that I am today. Hes the main reason why I have some big plans for the future, and why Im so driven to succeed. Dont worry Grandpa, Im going to carry on your legacy and make it big. RIP Grandpa Nick, the Renaissance Man. Youll be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Ill make sure of that
