Reno Evening Gazette August 30, 1913 BOLT STRIKES CAR IN BARN Renders Street Car Man Unconscious and Melts Glass of Cluster Lamps Lightning during the electrical display and rainstorm last night played havoc with one of the Sparks cars of the Reno Traction company and rendered an employe at the car barns, Pete Delucci, unconscious for several minutes. A bolt of lightning burned out all wires in the car, melted the glass globes and shades on clusters of incandescent lights and knocked Delucci out on the ground. It charred a hole through the top of the car and ruined even the armatures, which alone cost $150. It is thought the total damage will be between $200 and $300. Delucci found himself practically unhurt when he recovered his senses.
