Renovation of Smoke Bomb Hill Express store to reenergize South Post FORT BRAGG, N.C. – The planned overhaul of the venerable Smoke Bomb Hill Express store will greatly increase the dining and amenities available for those who work and live in the south part of the cantonment area. The existing Express store, at the corner of Reilly Street and Gruber Road, has supplied convenience items for generations of paratroopers and Special Operators. The new complex, designed for completion in about a year will bring new food and shopping experiences including Arby’s, Subway, Boston Market, a Launderette with dry cleaning service and a Barber Shop. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to build upon the legacy of the Smoke Bomb Hill Express store and provide our service members and their families with a variety of amenities that haven’t been available on South Post yet,” said Alex Dewberry, Fort Bragg AAFES spokeswoman. During the construction period, starting January 31, 2015, and lasting about a year, the Smoke Bomb Hill Express and Old Glory Express stores will follow these hours: Smoke Bomb Hill Express * Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. * Saturday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Old Glory Express * Monday to Thursday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. * Friday, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. * Saturday, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. * Sunday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
