Renowned Mexican Glass Artist to Lecture at PC Join us at Phoenix College on April 8th for a free lecture by renowned Mexican glass artist Ana Thiel. Ana Thiel is a Mexican-born artist whose principal medium is glass. She was trained in Industrial Design but became enamored of the expressions that are possible in molten glass. Her years of melding creative abilities to a strong form of art have led to her international recognition as an outstanding sculptor. Thiel’s work is exhibited in, and forms part of, collections in international museums. She has also been an invited resident artist all over the world. For many years she has taught workshops and offered lectures on art, creativity and sculpture at universities and cultural institutions all around the world, including her native Mexico, the U.S., Europe, Japan, China, Egypt, and Central and South America. Her work forms part of public and private collections worldwide. “Thiel’s work does not bemoan the dangers that surround us: she prefers to create a space of beauty. That is true sincerity, and it makes for stunning sculpture.” ~ William Warmus For more information about the artist, visit anathiel.
