Rented The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug from On Demand last night. Its the first movie that has actually been in 1080p since I bought my flatscreen, that resolution Im told by a buddy who just retired from Microsoft is rare. He also said you cant tell the difference between it & 1080i (regular HD.) with the naked eye. Now that Ive actually seen a movie in it I agree. Either way my new TV looks awesome. & Evangeline Lilly blows both Kate Blanchett & Liv Tyler away as an elf. She not only does action scenes well but shes cuter too. Neither of the others characters have had any real battle scenes. Tyler had a horse chase action scene & thats the only action scene either of them had period. Lillys character is a soldier.
