Reo Speed Wagon Railbus Not an everyday scene! An old railbus of 1930s vintage passes over the rare New England fixture of a covered railroad bridge. This wooden masterpiece was originally built in 1904 in East Montpelier, Vermont. In no less of an impressive achievement, it was disassembled on site there in 1963 and transported to Lincoln, New Hampshire, where it was rebuilt over the Pemigewasset River. Only precious few wooden, covered railroad bridges remain in active use and given the touristic nature of the White Mountain Central Railroad, this is probably the most photographed one!
